About Us :

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is the major tertiary hospital in the south metropolitan area and offers comprehensive health care services to adults, youth and children.

It has 783 beds and offers:

acute, general and specialist medical and surgical services
subacute services including rehabilitation and aged care
comprehensive cancer services
State adult burns unit
State rehabilitation service including ventilator dependent quadriplegic service and spinal outreach service

Education and training for SMHS health professionals

MyLearning (the WA Health learning management system) enables South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) to administer, deliver and record learning and development activities for its staff.

Vision & Mission

In March 2009 the Stage One contract was awarded. Construction commenced on-site on 23 September 2009 after an extensive environmental program was undertaken, which saw more than 300 grass trees and zamias removed from the site to be replanted within the operational hospital grounds.

Native plants which are difficult to grow from seeds, including orchids and other plants, were also recovered from the site to be replanted at Fiona Stanley Hospital and nearby conservation areas at a later date.

Sixty-one quendas (southern brown bandicoots) were transferred to the Department of Environment and Conservation for relocation to Julimar Conservation Park. In addition, more than 4500 reptiles and amphibians, including frogs, snakes and lizards, were successfully relocated to Beeliar Regional Park.

In November 2010, Fiona Stanley Hospital was the winner of the WA Environment Award in the Government Leading by Example category.

Work is flexiable and majority of workers are helpful and friendly. Good environment to work with it.

i learnt a great deal in many different departments, i enjoyed interacting with patients and the staff and nurses were all very helpful, unfortunately due to covid my work there ended

I had a great time working with the other staff members but working for the management was terrible, constantly over worked ripped off pays and had little to no concern when it came to work problems that needed to be resolved.
