The César Uribe Piedrahíta Regional Hospital was an initiative of the governor of Antioquia, Luis Alfredo Ramos. The headquarters has a constructed area of ​​16,488 square meters and nearly 100,000 million pesos were invested in the work. This regional hospital, inaugurated on August 15, 2019 by Governor Luis Pérez Gutiérrez, will offer second and third level care services. It will serve the population of Bajo Cauca, Urabá, Magdalena Medio and the department of Córdoba. This new headquarters has an installed capacity to serve emergency services, imaging, a medium complexity laboratory, a blood bank, hospitalization, ICU - CSU, surgery, obstetrics and outpatient consultation, promotion and prevention.
