On 9/25/2024 at 2:30 p.m. I arrived at the ER. I had cut my finger sharpening a knife. I was treated very well by the staff in the check-in area, and even my fellow patients who were waiting were kind. I received an X-ray and stitches. My finger wouldn't stop bleeding, but the nurse practitioner knew what to do. This is not the Drive-Thru at McDonald's folks. There are other patients besides you with more pressing health conditions. You will have to wait at least 3 hours from start to finish. But they do their very best at Shelby Baptist Medical Center ER. I was so glad they were there when I needed them! Thank you to the entire medical team.

I was in distress so I was rushed in and did not even have to complete any paperwork or have to sit in waiting room... I was admitted to hospital after being stabilized... All the staff were very friendly and attentive and explained everything they were doing... I have been to this hospital a lot for a wide variety of reasons... And I have never had a bad experience in the ER... Now I have had a couple of nurses inside hospital that I did not appreciate or ever want again, but that's a different story
